Late-inning heroics defined the night: De Vries hit a walk-off single in High-A, while Clay Dungan belted the go-ahead homer in Triple-A. Low-A’s Storm erupted in a dominant fifth inning, and Double-A’s squad relied on pitchers to deliver a shutout. Strong pitching, timely contact, and clutch moments highlight organizational depth, led by standout performances from De Vries, Dungan, Yonathan Perlaza, and Kavares Tears.

Trailing 1–0 early, El Paso evened the score in the second with a two-out RBI single by Rodolfo Durán. Missions Pitching Silences RockHounds in Shutout Win
Box Score
Four San Antonio pitchers combined to blank Midland on three hits Friday night, delivering a 2–0 road win behind sharp execution and timely hitting.
Jared Kollar set the tone with 4 scoreless innings, striking out four while scattering two singles. J.B. Wendelken, Andrew Moore, and Ryan Och followed with five shutout frames to close out the win, with Och picking up his second save. The quartet combined for 11 strikeouts while allowing three walks.
Scoreless through four, San Antonio broke through in the fifth. Kai Murphy and Jake Snider opened the inning with back-to-back singles. After a pickoff error advanced the runners, Ripken Reyes laid down a bunt single to plate Murphy. Romeo Sanabria followed with a line-drive RBI single to right, scoring Snider for a 2–0 lead.
The Missions’ defense was crisp, turning a key double play in the third and recording an outfield assist from center fielder Nerwilian Cedeño in the ninth to cut down a runner at second base.
Snider reached base all three times, finishing 2-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch and a run scored. Kollar lowered his ERA to 9.49 on the season.
De Vries Walk-Off Single Pushes TinCaps Past Loons
Box Score
Leo De Vries capped a tense pitchers’ duel with a walk-off single in the ninth, giving the Fort Wayne TinCaps a 2–1 win over the Great Lakes Loons on Friday at Parkview Field.
After falling behind on a first-inning RBI double, the TinCaps evened things up in the fourth when Oswaldo Linares delivered a sacrifice fly. Jack Costello singled, Kai Roberts walked, and Sean Barnett was hit with a pitch to load the bases before Linares brought home the tying run.
Starter Eric Yost was steady, allowing just one run over 5 2/3 innings with five strikeouts. Fernando Sanchez followed with 2 1/3 hitless frames, stranding an inherited runner in the sixth and keeping the score even. Garrett Hawkins pitched a clean ninth and picked up the win after the TinCaps walked it off in the bottom half.
In the ninth, Sean Barnett led off with a single and was replaced by pinch-runner Jacob Campbell. After a sacrifice bunt and hit-by-pitch, De Vries dropped a single into right field to score Campbell and end the game. De Vries finished 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored.
Fort Wayne’s pitching held Great Lakes to just four hits while striking out seven.
