Superstar closer Mason Miller was placed on the paternity list just before Tuesday's Game 3 of the NL Division Series against the Milwaukee Brewers. His wife went into labor Tuesday afternoon. Left-handed reliever Wandy Peralta replaced Miller on the roster. It is unknown whether Miller would be available if there is a Game 4. The Padres trail the Brewers 2-0 in the best-of-five series. Right-hander Walker Buehler went on the paternity list before Game 1 as his wife was due to give birth Saturday. He missed both games in Milwaukee and was active for Tuesday's Game 3. Miller, arguably the top closer in MLB, surrendered the walk-off single to Brewers star Jackson Chourio with two outs in the bottom of the ninth of Sunday's Game 2. View full rumor
