Padres Video
It worked so well in the first round that the San Diego Padres are sticking with it in the next round.
In revealing their roster for the NL Division Series, the Padres will carry the same 26 players as they did for the NL Wild Card Series vs. the Chicago Cubs. Game 1 of the NL Division Series against the Milwaukee Brewers is Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Left-hander Robbie Ray starts for the Padres against Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski.
The only surprise, then, is that right-hander Randy Vasquez is not included on the roster. Vasquez was not on the Wild Card Series roster after pitching six innings in the regular-season finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Everyone from president of baseball operations to manager Craig Stammen had indicated that Vasquez would be back for the Division Series.
