Victor Figueroa homered twice and drove in three for the Storm, while Braedon Karpathios led the TinCaps with three hits and four RBIs. Ryan Jackson also homered and plated three. Boston Bateman and Miguel Mendez each provided quality starts, and both bullpens were nearly perfect across seven combined scoreless innings. El Paso Chihuahuas Game Postponed San Antonio Missions Game Postponed Karpathios, Jackson Spark TinCaps’ Clean Victory Box Score The TinCaps used a pair of multi-hit performances from Braedon Karpathios and Ryan Jackson to overwhelm Great Lakes, 7–1, Thursday night at Parkview Field. Karpathios went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs, while Jackson tallied three hits, including a two-run blast, and drove in three. Fort Wayne overcame a 1–0 first-inning deficit with a two-run third and never looked back. Miguel Mendez was sharp over 6 innings, scattering five hits and one earned run while striking out six. The bullpen held strong with Cole Paplham and Ruben Galindo combining for three shutout innings and five strikeouts. The bottom of the third turned the tide. Jackson’s RBI single tied the game, and Karpathios followed with a clutch two-out RBI single to give Fort Wayne a 2–1 lead. In the fifth, Jackson homered to left center, scoring Oswaldo Linares and extending the lead to 4–1. Karpathios added a solo shot in the sixth and capped his night with a two-run single in the seventh. Defensively, Karpathios threw out a runner at home. The TinCaps out-hit the Loons 9 to 6 and were 5-for-11 with runners in scoring position. Figueroa Powers Storm in Comeback Win Box Score Victor Figueroa launched two home runs as Lake Elsinore stormed back from a 2–0 deficit to defeat Modesto, 7–2, at The Diamond. After Modesto opened with two runs on three hits in the first inning, the Storm pitching staff held firm. Boston Bateman struck out nine in five innings, allowing two earned runs. Vicarte Domingo and Igor Gil combined for four scoreless frames, with Gil fanning one in two innings to earn the win. Figueroa led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo homer to put Lake Elsinore on the board. Two innings later, he crushed a second homer to take the lead. In the eighth, the Storm sent 11 men to the plate. Chase Valentine, who had three hits, hit a sharp single to left, and Lamar King Jr. added an RBI knock. A wild pitch scored another run and Figueroa was hit to drive in King Jr., capping a five-run frame.
