After a much better week against the Yankees and Nationals, there is plenty to be optimistic about. Randy Holt and Steve Drumwright recap the week that was, including a big weekend by Luis Campusano vs. the Yankees, then Nick Pivetta's surprising return to the rotation that kicked off a sweep of the Nationals. Randy and Steve then rank each of their top five most important players for the final 16 games of the regular season. After checking in on the top news items from the minors, including the Lake Elsinore Storm in the playoffs with first-round draft pick Coleman Borthwick on the roster and Miguel Andujar's rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso, Randy and Steve take a look at the weekend coming up in San Francisco and the four-game series vs. the Colorado Rockies after that, as each game becomes more important to the Padres getting to the postseason.
