Over the past two weeks, the Padres have slightly revitalized their offensive production sitting seventh in the league with a .262 team average.

Win a potential series victory over Atlanta, and the Padres would face off against the league's most-feared starting lineup in the Los Angeles Dodgers. Despite not playing a truly dominant brand of baseball in the second half, the Dodgers remain as a force to be reckoned with and the majority of teams hope to avoid Los Angeles as long as possible. 

Yet the timing of a Dodgers matchup could line up as the most advantageous for a Padres World Series run. The Dodgers currently rank in the bottom half of the league over the past 30 days in terms of hits. With Shohei Ohtani hitting the IL, they're operating well below peak capacity.
