Salas, Padres Mission's No. 1 prospect, was activated from the seven-day injured list Tuesday by the Double-A San Antonio Missions. Salas was in the lineup at catcher and batting leadoff in the Missions' batting order. The 20-year-old top prospect for the San Diego Padres had been sidelined since sustaining a mild oblique injury during a June 17 doubleheader. He was placed on the IL the next day. Salas is having a really nice bounce-back season after missing all but 10 games last season due to a stress reaction in his lower back.
